I was informed by Emma that we didn’t need to pick fela up right away as he wasn’t out of bed yet so we didn’t get to Carla and Michael’s till 1005. Fela was half way through his breakfast when we got there. We left at around 1045 and arrived at fela’s. At 1100, fela took of his coat and shows and went to sit down. I did the teach board with fela and then he listened to music.
Snack was at 1135 and he ate this on the sofa while listening to music.
Lunch was ready at 1240. Fela said prayer with staff and at nicely. When finished at 1300, fela took his dishes to the sink, hung up his apron and the sprayed and wiped the table.
At 1320, fela sat on the sofa, I did the teach board with him and he listened to music.
At 1340, fela went to the toilet. He was in there for around half an hour. Fela had a bowel movement.
At 1430, we got ready and went out for a walk while it had stopped raining. We walked round Chatterley Whitfield and up the steps of the hill. It started to rain so we headed back to the car. Fela had some fruit in the car and a drink of water.
We got back to fela’s House at 1540. Fela chose a dvd and had a snack. When he was done at 1555, I then gave fela 4 activity options for later on. Fela pointed at the TV and didn’t want to chose an activity for later and asked me to leave the room by pointing at the door and asking for 5.
At 1615, Emma asked fela to chose an activity for later. He chose puzzles. I then did the new board with fela.
At 1630, fela became very vocal, Emma asked if he needed the toilet and she would pause the dvd. Fela then used the toilet and seemed calmer.
I cleaned fela’s keloids at 1640 and then he continued to watch telly. Fela let me sit with him for a while.
Dinner was ready at 1755. Fela said his prayer with staff and ate very well. He seemed to enjoy his meal. He then asked for more. Fela was offered a biscuit which he had with some yoghurt. Fela then bought his dishes to the sink. Put his apron in the wash and cleaned the table.
At 1830. I asked fela to join me at the table so we could do a puzzle. He refused and pointed to the TV. Then to his keloids. I put lion King on for fela and then cleaned his keloids. Fela had a noisy burst again at 1850. Emma asked if he needed to toilet. He said no.
Fela had his snack at 2000. I asked fela again if he wanted to do his puzzle and drink his tea at the table with me and he said no. I asked him what he DID want to do. And he asked for 5 again. So I did some chores.
Mama called to speak to fela at 2030. Fela said goodbye at 2045 and then sat on the loo. Fela was trying to say a word to me that sounded like “bow” I asked if it was bath, ball, bowl? Fela didn’t respond. Fela then got up and took me to the kitchen he messed with the glass jars, he then pointed at porridge and musili. I said in the morning. Fela then began to laugh and pointed at the draining board and picked up a bowl. I said again, in the morning. (so “bow” may be-bowl)
Fela has also been saying the words/sounds “CD or shee gee” a lot today. And when asked if he was saying chicken? (multiple times) he has replied yes, every time. Instead of repeating the word/sound.
Fela has completed his bathtime routine and is having some relaxing time in the bath.
