01/06/2020 – Morning shift – zoe ball

Shift Report:

Fela was in the lounge listening to music at the start of the shift. I went to say hello to fela and asked if he was OK. He gave me a thunbs up.

Claire updated the board with fela at 0930 which fela seemed OK with.

At 1010, I cleaned fela’s keloids as he had made them bleed. I applied 2 plasters to his left keloid to discourage him picking.

1030, fela had his snack and drink. This took him 40 minutes to eat. Fela went to the toilet before leaving.

We left for a walk at 1115, fela was really happy walking round and we stretched it out as long as we could while he was happy.

We got back at 1245 and fela went to sit down and took his shoes off.

Lunch was ready at 1330. Fela put his apron on and then became very noisy and was jumping/stamping on the spot. This only lasted a few seconds.

Fela said prayer and then ate well with staff. At 1330, fela took his dishes to the kitchen and washed them up.

At 1335 Claire asked fela if he needed the toilet but he didn’t reply. We then sat down and watched “the very hungry catapiller” fela didn’t seem interested in this.

Fela then listened to some music and had an ice lolly.  Fela is quietly listening to music.

Fela has taken his daily supplements.

Arousal States – Start: 1 Baseline End: 2a – Vocal but happy Did his state change? Yes to 3 – Very Noisy Fela was quiet and looked content at the start of the shift. He has been very very happy for the majority of the shift. Fela got a bit noisy for less than a minute, just before lunch. He was jumping on the spot. Did he have a bowel movement? No Bristol score: Was Fela incontinent?: No Did he have vigorous exercise?: Yes – 30 minute walk in Tunstall Park. Very enjoyable.
