Sorry this report is so late but we have had a manic morning as we are covering for staff plus trying to do other things.
Fela was in bed by 22:45 after I applied tiger balm to his forehead, behind his ears, neck, back and chest. There have been no obvious signs of a cold but he seems to find this comforting. When I checked on Fela at 23:15, there was no sound.
I heard him again at 2:00 and so prompted him to the loo where he did a bit of a wee. I put his music on youtube back on low and closed the laptop screen. I heard Fela again around 6:30. He did not want to go to the loo and seemed very awake. He insisted I put on the desktop computer with the bigger screen and he chose Christmas hymns with a Christmas tree in cabin with fire scenery – ‘3 hours of Christmas music’. I got the impression he had listened to it before as he was very particular about what he wanted. He then asked for ‘5’ so I left him in bed.
Michael took him tea and fruit around 7:30. I came to greet him at 7:45, did the board with him. He picked up a bag of cards from the table and arranged all the cards on the bed, then he handed me the cards for ‘Mama & Michael’, ‘cinema’ and ‘Fela’s home’. I explained to him that cinema would need to be another day. He seemed happy enough with that.
Fela completed his morning routine and was down for breakfast just after 9:00. He ate a hearty breakfast with egg and sardines.

*I have replaced Fela’s electric toothbrush head with a smaller one which hopefully he won’t break. His manual toothbrush will act as a back-up but kindly report if his electric toothbrush needs fixing again.
