Fela was relaxed and smiley the whole day. He behaved well in Aldi considering that the layout has changed. Afterwards, we nipped to Lidl – on the way Fela had his snack. Fela refused to go in so I sat with him in the car whilst Chloe went in. I sang hymns to him which he enjoyed and asked for more. We played cards on the way home.
On returning home, we did some chores whilst Fela relaxed in his rocking chair listening to some fireside jazz. He requested for me to sit with him so we played some more cards.
After lunch, he was waiting for dessert so I promised him some cake after Flip Out and reminded Chloe to pack it. Fela must only have dessert once per day preferably after dinner except on Sundays. this is to help maintain his weight.
I assisted Fela in colouring his Mermaid picture and he was very patient as the pencil nibs kept breaking probably because Fela is a bit heavy-handed when colouring. He did very well in persisting to the end, then he had his snack of fruit salad and particularly enjoyed the water melon chunks.
At the time of writing, Claire has just arrived and Fela has given the thumbs up to Flip Out on the TEACCH board. Hope they have a great time!
