*Sorry this is late. Once again, I forgot I was on shift as it felt like a normal Sunday visit.
Fela arrived at 9:15 and spent the morning upstairs with Emma. He listened to cafe jazz upstairs on the red settee, followed by his snack. Afterwards, he watched Breath New Life online church service from 26 April. Emma said he seemed to enjoy it as he was listening intently to Pastor Paul’s sermon.
Afterwards, Emma offered to play cards with him, but he declined so she offered him a story, and read to him.
Fela enjoyed his curry lunch, and ate well. After lunch, and his tea, he spent over one hour on the toilet and became agitated with foot stomping and guttural noises. We figured he might be constipated from the white rolls he ate this week. I offered him some lemon water whilst he as there to try to ease the transition. 15 minutes later, he was able to get off the toilet with some coaxing, and he was smiling.
I made him a fruit salad for his afternoon snack which he enjoyed thoroughly. Before he left Green Pastures at 16:50, I rubbed him with some Tiger balm on his forehead and behind his ears as i had promised. He seems to enjoy the soothing effect. Fela left in a calm state.
