*Sorry this is late. Shortly after Fela left ours, there was an incident with Zoe, so Michael and I had to deal with that. There has been a lot of change and uncertainty in Fela’s life, as with all of us, so this may be an overflow of anxiety building up inside of him. At our management meeting to morrow, we will discuss how to better help him cope with these changes.
Fela had a bowel movement after his bath, and was in bed by 22:50. I woke him to use the loo at 2:50 then he went straight back to bed.
I went in to greet him and prompt him to the loo at 7:15. the bed was dry but I noticed he had had a bit of leak on his crotch so I prompted him to change his PJ bottoms. After his apple, water, pear and apple tea, I asked him whether he wanted to shower or sleep. He requested sleep and five then proceeded to tell me to go and close the door.
Michael prompted him into the shower at 8:30. Because Fela was slow getting dressed, we instructed Zoe and Claire to get started prepping the Sunday lunch, and then come to collect Fela later.
Fela was down for breakfast at 9:30. It was sardines with chilli, sweet potato, ketchup but Fela looked disappointed that he did not have his usual porridge. I reassured him he could have porridge with his requested honey, nuts, raisins tomorrow.
Claire and Zoe came around 10:00 and Fela left at 10:15. He had wanted to continue watching TV as he was sitting in his armchair- ‘Beautiful Barbados’ was playing on Plex – by pointing to the remote control but we told him it was time to go and he could watch Kanye West Sunday Service at home and then have a lovely lunch. When Fela left, he seemed calm enough but he may have been a bit confused by the fact that it was Sunday and he was leaving Mama and Michael’s so early.
