when I arrived on shift Fela was listening to music and waved hello. We then hand handover before doing the board with fela. Fela had his morning snack and then we got ready to out for a walk around Burslem park. We stopped on the way to pick up a new toothtrush head and to drop off the shopping list. Fela seemed to really enjoy our walk and we walked all around the different path to make it nice and long. We returned back to the car and fela had a drink of water and then we stopped at the shop while zoe ran in to get some bits.
We returned home and had lunch. Fela ate and drank well.
We then watched the youtube video and practiced the makaton sign for ‘love’, after a few minutes fela said finish. and got up to point to the crackling fire so this was put on. I applied almond oil to felas fingers as requested by Carla.
Shortly after I tried to engage fela in doing his writing but he very clearly refused numerous times and asked me to go. Although the writing was unsuccessful I did manage to get fela to do picture match cards with me.
Fela then had his snack and listened to music. Claire then arrived and said hello to fela before having handover. Claire then done the board with fela and he requested lion kind 2 so this was put on and claire cleaned felas keloids.
Once finished we had dinner and after fela helped with the dishes.
Fela then sat in his rocker listening to music before we headed out for a walk around the neighbourhood, fela hummed lightly while we were out but seemed to enjoy the walk. Once home he took his coat and shoes off and had his snack while listening to music.
Fela then spoke to Carla on the phone before getting ready for his bath. Fela is now in the bath splashing away looking tired
