Fela arrived at Green Pastures around 9:20. He was signing immediately for “cooking” and this continued throughout the morning. At first Michael thought that he wanted to help Michael with cooking, but he really wanted to lick the bowl as Michael was baking muffins.
Fela played on his tongue drum with youtube music playing in the background then we had a snack of homemade popcorn and nuts. Michael did offer him a bowl to lick and he was thrilled to bits.
After lunch, Fela requested a facial trim. We relaxed and listened to some music then T.D Jakes preaching. I kept asking Fela if he wanted to finish but he said “No” quite clearly so we continued watching. We tried ringing Nanna Hazel but could not get through. Fela has been scratching his keloids the whole day so I put a plaster on each side because he made them bleed.
After dinner I let his food settle, then I tried to engage Fela in dancing or bouncing on the gym ball but he only managed to bounce on the ball for 10 minutes. He then asked to sit down. It was clear that Fela was becoming very tired and his eyes looked heavy. I gave him a comb to engage his hands whilst I went to prepare his bed and bath. So after his evening snack, he was happy to comb his hair until it was time for the loo then his bath. This was an attempt to distract him from picking at his keloids. At the time of writing, he is splashing in the bath.
All in all, it has been a relaxing day. Fela did not appear to have any issues with hayfever after Claire administered 2 echinacea capsules after breakfast. Fela was in a mellow mood.
