05/11/2019 – Sleep shift – carla cornelius

Shift Report:

Fela enjoyed an hour long soak in bath with some epsom salts. He was in bed by 22:30. I checked him at 23:05 and he was fast asleep. Deer hymns were left on a low volume throughout the night. I also left him with a small pot of keloid cream as he was scratching after we said prayer. I also rubbed his chest, back and behind ears with tiger balm as he finds it soothing and I had heard him cough slightly before bed. [His cough was not cause for alarm as it was not heavy]

When I checked him at 2:00 he was asleep but I hear him at 2:30 so I prompted him to the loo. Fela did not fall asleep again until around 4:00. I rubbed some lavender oil blend I have at home on his forehead just before 4:00 so this may have helped him fall asleep.

We decided to let Fela wake up naturally because of his disturbed night so he wok at 8:00. He did his morning routine very well, and seemed calm enough making low tone vocalisations. all in all he had about 7 hours sleep so he should be okay today although he may have a short cat nap in the afternoon.

At the time of writing, Chloe has come to pick us up to go to Green Door at 10:40.
