After lunch, we did the board again, and music was followed by cooking with Michael. Fela completed cooking lamb dishes with Michael, and then he surprised me upstairs with a pancake and maple syrup. I gave him a bit of it because he looked at me so longingly.
He choose to stay upstairs so I offered him either music or DVD. He chose a DVD and ended up watching Aladdin upstairs. He was nodding off during the film but did not sleep. I think he was anticipating dinner because he kept signing for lamb, and Michael also promised him some more pancakes.
Afterwards I cut his hair with the electric trimmer which he found very relaxing. then we had dinner which lasted for about 40 minutes. Fela became very noisy towards the end, and we suspected he needed a bowel movement. but we decided not to prompt him to the loo and let him go when he was ready.
We did the board again, and Fela chose ‘Beauty and the Beast’ film after I played the theme song for him on youtube. He also chose the TEACCH card for footspa. After his dinner had settled, I prepared a footspa whilst he was watching the film. I also provided a head massage using a wooden massager which helped to relax him even more. We ended the footspa before having his supplement and snack of pistachios.
He wiped between his toes really well after the footspa, then I gave him a tennis ball to do the physio exercise whilst having his snack. When the fil ended we left Green Pastures around 20:50. All in all, it has been a lovely day with Fela, and he has been happy throughout.
