Shift Report:

*Sorry this is late but Fela did not leave until 10:30 because he requested TV using makaton just before leaving, and we did not want to rush him out of the house as happened prior to Sunday’s unfortunate incident. I then had to finish something I was in the middle of when they left.

Fela arrived at Green Pastures just before 21:00 and was in the bath by 21:10. He insisted that I gave him a face scrub on his keloids so I obliged. He did his evening routine well, and was in bed by 22:25.

I prompted him to the loo at 1:25 and he quickly passed urine and returned to bed. I then went to greet Fela at 7:15. He was soon out of bed, went to the loo then he had his apple, water and pear and apple tea.

Michael started his morning routine at 8:00 by prompting him into the shower upstairs. I took over once Fela was out of the shower. Fela was in a happy mood and full of smiles, as well as requesting his favourite food theses days – porridge with all the trimmings.

Fela was finished his breakfast and supplements by 9:00 then I went through the social story of Zoe Lou starting today. After Zoe and Claire arrived, he was trying to verbalise a request. It sounded like ‘Cool Runnings’ DVD but we’re still not sure if we got it right. Michael brought his tablet and showed Fela images from the film, and he pointed to one of them but then pointed to the armchair. Fela was allowed to start the film and have a cup of tea so as not to rush him as he clearly wanted to stay in the lounge for a while. So, they left ours at 10:30, and he was re-assured he would be returning tonight to sleep. He seemed calm and content when he left.
