I arrived just before 9am, Fela was sat at the table eating his breakfast, I said Hello to Fela and took handover from Zoe and Teresa.
Once Fela had finished his breakfast, he made his way to the kitchen and cleaned up his dishes without being asked. Fela then relaxed in his rocking chair listening to music. Claire then did the board with Fela whilst I cracked on with chores. At 10.10 Fela cleaned his shoes and did such an amazing job he got a sticker! Fela then had his snack and listened to music whilst waiting for church to start on YouTube.
At 11am Fela watched the church service on YouTube and allowed us to sit in whilst it was on, Fela used the toilet halfway through so the service was paused ad restarted once he had finished. I then asked Fela if he would like a drink, Fela said “tea” so I asked Fela if he would like to make it himself and make me a drink, Fela jumped up and made myself and him a drink, lots of praise given and it was lovely drink!
At 12.20 Fela asked for his keloids to be cleaned so I cleaned them, he then picked his keloids and made them bleed so I cleaned them again and popped a dressing on.
At 12.50 Fela popped his shoes on and used the toilet, once he had finished, he popped his coat on and we headed to Mama and Michaels house for lunch.
We arrived at Mama and Michaels house just after 1pm, Fela appeared happy, smiling and laughing and appeared to enjoy the feast that was put on for us. Fela had a second helping of lunch and pudding (and would have probably had more if we had let him). Fela then relaxed in his chair and has some soul music on, Fela appeared happy and content listening to music. After a while Fela made his way upstairs and sat on the red sofa listening to music and called Nana Hazel. When it was time to leave Fela appeared hesitant and appeared happy to just relax at Mama and Michaels, with some prompting Fela popped his shoes and coat and waved goodbye to Mama and Michael and said “thankyou” for lunch.
Once home at 17.05, Fela took his coat off and made his way to the bathroom, Fela sat on the toilet for quite some time, reassurance given, Fela continued to ask for 5. Large b/M (no blood)
Fela then had his supplement and made his way to the table for his evening meal at 18.15pm (light dinner-soup) and after that drank his water. Fela appeared tired, I asked Fela if he would like to relax and watch a DVD, Fela agreed. I did the board with Fela and he sat on his rocking chair, I asked Fela if he would like to watch Cool Runnings, Fela said “yeah” with a big smile on his face.
At 19.40 Fela made his way to the toilet, Fela appeared happy, laughing and smiling but at one point Felas eyes rolled back, Fela did not appear agitated but went quiet, at this point we left Fela on the toilet and then we heard him laughing again. Fela had a Medium B/M (no blood).
Fela then had his supplement and a hot chocolate and snack and continued to watch the DVD.
Fela requested his bath, so Adele ran his bath for him, once he had finished his hot chocolate we asked Fela if he was ready for his bath but he said “no”. Fela appeared to be enjoying the film too much. once the film had finished Fela made his way to the bathroom, removed his clothes and got into the bath. I assisted Fela with his night time personal care, Fela is now happily splashing away in the bath.
Fela has appeared happy throughout the day, full of smiles and laughing.
