On arrival Fela went to sit on the red settee upstairs and was very noisy. When I prompted him to take his clothes off for his shower, he kept asking for ‘5’. He needed a lot of coaxing to finally do it and he seemed on edge; he entered the bath at 21:20.
Fela completed his routine and was in bed and lights out by 22:35. Before lights out, I applied tea tree to the area between his two small toes on right foot, aloe propolis to areas of skin in need of healing, keloid cream and ‘No Knead to stress’ massage oil with lavender and chamomile essential oils to his back, chest, forehead and behind his neck. The crackling fire on youtube was left on at low volume. It’s a 10 hour video so lasted throughout the night. He made noises until 23:15.
I next hear Fela at 5:00. I prompted him to the loo and he was in bed again by 5:30, only spending about 20 minutes in there which was a lot faster than usual. He looked well rested but sneezed a few times. He made noises for 15 minutes then was silent. I next heard him just before 7:30. I went to greet him and asked him if he wanted apple or toilet. He signed for apple. So I brought him apple, lemon and ginger tea which he consumed with the water left by his bed overnight.
Fela’s nose was running quite a bit so I prompted him to blow his nose properly. By the time, Fela entered the shower it was after 8:30. He did his routine well, although he was sniffing quite a bit so I prompted him to blow his nose again on tissue. He was down for breakfast of luxury porridge at 9:10. Claire and Zoe arrived soon after. Fela helped Michael add trimmings to his porridge. They left Green Pastures around 10:00.
*In light of the fact that Fela seemed to be tense last night, and was nasal with a runny nose this morning, his waking supplement of ‘Ginger, Turmeric & Bromelain’ will be re-introduce from tomorrow. This will need to be administered with water before he has his fruit in bed.
