Despite all the changes of plan due to emergencies, all in all the day went well. Fela came to ours early after Zoe rang from church to say she was unwell. Unfortunately Zoe had to leave early and missed my lovely vegetarian spread for my birthday.
*Thanks to Michael, Fela and the team for all my birthday surprises and gifts so far. My red round handbag is the bomb! Everything is great especially all the presents Fela made and the beautiful card.
Fela was nodding off after lunch and could not even muster the energy to drink is tea, so I prompted him upstairs to drink his tea and have a nap. I woke him up after about an hour. He was vocal for the rest of the evening except when we played cards and danced to Michael Bolton after dinner, and of course when he was eating. We had a good time and natter whilst dancing.
I put on some instrumental, calming hymns around 8pm to coincide with his bedtime supplements and snack. After this, he grew quiet and by the time Fela was read to leave Green Pastures, he was quiet. He left with a bag of leftovers, and a pink balloon as a memento of the day.
By the time we left his house around 9.30pm, Emma was tending to him in the bath, and he was enjoying a good soak.
Arousal States – Start: 1 Baseline End: 1 Baseline Did his state change? Yes to 3 – Very Noisy Fela was noisy on and off after he was awoken from his nap from 15:20 – 16:30. He hadn't slept well Saturday night. Did he have a bowel movement? No Bristol score: Was Fela incontinent?: No Did he have vigorous exercise?: Yes – About 20 – 30 minutes of dancing after dinner. He kept sitting down throughout so this detracted from the intensity.
