We picked Fela and Zoe up at 10:00. Fela was clearly in a good mood, and I read the social story with him about our visit to the hospital. The board had alteady been done so I think Fela was clear about the day’s adventure. We set of at 10:15 and arrived at the hospital just before noon. Fela had his lunch in the waiting room.
The consultant was very friendly and explained what the cryotherapy treatment would involve (See Zoe’s notice to follow). Fela was calm considering how big the hospital was, and the fact that people were coming from all directions. We left the hospital about 13:15 and headed home. Fela was quiet in the car, and looked a bit sleepy but soon perked up when we returned home. I gave him a present to open to congratulate him on how fantastic he was at the hospital. It was a DVD set of ‘The Secret Life of Pets 1&2’. I explained that this would be his cinema this week, but he could go to the cinema next week.
I left him with Adele who was trying on laces in his new trainers to find longer ones so Fela can tie them more securely.
A lovely and rewarding day so far with Fela, Michael and Zoe.
