Because Chloe had a family emergency, Michael went to collect Fela and brought him to Green Pastures just before 10:00. We had a 10 o’clock meeting, and Fela chose to go upstairs on the red settee in my office. I kept checking on him throughout the meeting, and he had fallen asleep.
I let him sleep for 2 hours but it may not have been very deep sleep as the meeting was going on downstairs and the gardener was tending to the garden. Also, Fela was very sluggish throughout the day suggesting he was still sleep deprived.
Also, he has been picking qt his keloids for most of the day so I have been offering him witchhazel solution, aloe gel and aloe propolis and encouraging him to rub them in.
Fela listened to deer hymns on youtube for most of the afternoon, then he watched ‘Chitty bang bang’ which he pointed to on the deck of Plex on the screen. After dinner, he finished the film but did not want to engage in dancing. I could tell he just didn’t have the energy. I only manage to get him to stand up and dance with me once for about 5 minutes.
Fela requested a snack in the evening not too long after dinner which also suggests he was sleepy as lack of sleep often makes us feel hungrier throughout the day. I made him some banana and walnut cake and flapjacks in the afternoon as he was fixated on cake today.
At the time of writing Fela is luxuriating in the bath. I have used the Green People exfoliating face scrub on and around his keloids in the bath as it’s easier to wash off. The scrub was recommended by his barber as a way to prevent ingrowing hairs but all the essential oils in it will also have a therapeutic effect. He seemed to enjoy it.
I am about to shampoo his hair and prompt him out of the bath.
