Fela was in the living room at the start of the shift. He was quite vocal but not particularly happy or unhappy. I said hello and went to have handover.
At 1400 fela chose a dvd to watch. He chose little women.
At 1420, Zoe gave fela a facial trim and his armpits a trim. Fela appeared to be happy and full of smiles.
At 1445 fela asked for the toilet. He went and sat on the toilet but then began to get very aggitated. He was stamping on the floor. Jumping on the toilet while sitting. Slapping his legs and being very very loud.
Zoe went in every 10 mins or so to see if he was OK. Fela would then become very vocal again. Fela was very sweaty and the bathroom was actually hot.
At 1505. Fela had gone quiet so Zoe asked if he wanted help. Then he started again, being vocal and jumping on the toilet while sat.
At 1525, fela was given a pot of cream to rub on his keloids.
Fela had a bowel movement and continued to be vocal on the toilet.
This continued until 1600 until I went into fela to see if a change of face would help. Fela then smiled and with prompting, took his sweaty clothes off and put on his dry ones. Fela then washed his hands with prompting and came to sit down.
At 1610, Zoe cleaned his keloids again and then he had his snack at 1615.
At 1700, fela did some writing and some colouring with Angelia. He seemed much happier now and continued to watch the rest of his film.
Fela had his supplements at 1715 and dinner was ready at 1740.
Fela said prayer with staff and ate very well. He seemed to really enjoy it. I asked fela using sign, if he wanted to have more dinner or cake? He signed more. So I gave fela a small amount more. Fela then also asked for cake. So I gave him a tiny amount of cake.
When finished at 1810. Fela cleaned the table and took off his apron with verbal prompting.
I did the board with fela at 1825 and then chose some music to listen to.
At 1830 I cleaned fela’s keloids again and trimmed some of the longer hairs that were sticking to his scabs.
At 1900 fela got his shoes on ready for his walk in the neighbourhood. He went to the toilet to pass urine before and we left at 1905.
Fela did well on his walk. Not too fast not too slow.
We were home for 1935 and fela went to the toilet again. Fela had worked up wuite a sweat. So he sat on the toilet and I got him some fresh clothes.
Fela had another bowel movement. Washed his hands with prompting and then sat down for his snack and took his supplements at 2010. Fela still had his shoes on ready to leave for mama and Michael’s.
We left for mama and Michael’s at 2050.
