When Fela arrived at Green Pastures, we did the board. I read him the story ‘Guess who loves you in Winter’ then left some soothing jazz playing on youtube. He slept for four hours as he was extremely sleepy. I prompted him to remove his socks before tucking him in under the blanket so his feet could ventilate. This was from 10:00- to 14:00 when I went to wake him up with a cup of pear and apple green tea. He seemed happy when he was drinking his tea. Afterwards he had a late lunch about 14:25 of salmon pasta salad.
We did the board again. Fela was supposed to help me with baking but he ended up going upstairs on the red settee and wanted to sleep again. I kept him awake by reading to him from ‘The Dancing Penguin’. I then prompted him to do some colouring from the ‘Calming Therapy’ colouring book. He had his snack of red skinned peanuts before we left to return to his house where Chloe was cooking dinner.
I did the board with him again, and then proceeded to do some HANDLE whilst he was using the tennis ball for foot physio. I did skull tapping with the spikey yellow ball then peacemaker massage on his shoulders and arms.
After dinner, we let the food settle then went for a neighbourhood walk around 19:30. Fela did really well despite being sleepy. He has been sleepy all day and we have tried our best to keep him awake this afternoon and evening. At the time of writing he is about to enter the bath.
