10/10/2020 – Evening shift – zoe holmes

Shift Report:

Fela was relaxing in the lounge on my arrival, I said hello to Fela and he was full of smiles.

I then had handover.

After myself and Alicia made a start preparing the evening meal and I set the table, I then cleaned Fela’s keloids and applied aloe gel, I also applied Tiger Balm to Fela’s head, back and throat, Fela was extremely happy with this, myself and Fela then showed Alicia the Makaton sign for friend’s.

At 6pm we had our evening meal and Fela did well and was neat and tidy, after we had all finished and Fela had cleaned his hands with wipes, I gave Fela his gift from Mama and Michael, Fela opened the gift but struggled a bit with the plastic wrapper, I asked Fela if he would like to watch his new film and he said yes.

Fela got up and took his apron off and became agitated, stamping his feet, very vocal, clapping his hands, this lasted approximately 10 minutes.

I encouraged Fela to sit down and once he did he was full of smiles, I asked Fela if he would like to watch his new film and he said yes, so I put this on with Fela and he let myself and Alicia sit with him for awhile.

Fela as appeared tried throughout the evening and being closing his eyes at some points.

At 8pm Fela had his snack and then a phone call with Mama.

Fela then completed his bath routine with Alicia and is now very happily relaxing in the bath.
