11/06/2021 – Evening shift – zoe holmes

Shift Report:

On my arrival I went into Fela and said hello, I then had handover.

I then made Fela a lemon, ginger and honey tea, he was very happy with this, he insisted that I set the table, so I did this, Fela didn’t want to help.

I then did some chores and prepared the evening meal, I cleaned Felas keloids and applied aloe gel, Felas left keloid is very hard to touch and oozing a cream coloured puss from the top.

We then sat down for our evening meal, Fela ate well and I encouraged him to eat neat and tidy and to use his manners, saying please and thank you.

After Fela relaxed sitting in his rocking chair, I’ve asked Fela throughout the evening if he would like me to sit with him but he’s said no, I have given Fela alone time but kept nipping in to check on him, each time he’s been happy and content, Fela as appeared tired and picking at his fingers so I applied almond oil and encouraged Fela to help me rub it in, he was happy with this.

Fela had his evening snack at the table and was happy, after he did allow me to sit with him, we listened to some relaxing piano music.

I then supported Fela with his bath routine and he was very happy to get into the bath, once in the bath Fela was happily laughing away.

On my departure Fela was happily relaxing in the bath.
