Fela was listening to Disney stories on YouTube when I arrived. I went to say hello to fela and he asked for an array of things. Nuts, crisps, chicken, Ketchup and juice. I told fela he could have juice and nuts for his snack later. He said OK then told me to leave.
At 1355, I went and sat with fela for a little while. I asked fela if he wanted to play cards. He said no. I cleaned his keloids and then let him put his own aloe gel on. Then gave him 5.
Fela used the toilet at 1455 and passed a bowel movement. When he was done and washed his hands, fela asked for juice.
Fela sat down and had a glass of fresh orange with water and listened to music and Zoe did the board with him.
Fela had his snack at 1530 and then at 1540, fela did some colouring of Disney pictures. After this, fela, Zoe and myself did a puzzle together while listening to music. Fela seemed to really enjoy this. When it was finished, he put it back in the box.
At 1615, fela chose a dvd to watch. He chose Simbas Pride.
At 1655, fela set the table independently as he was eager for dinner. Fela waited nicely until dinner was ready at 1730. Fela said prayer with staff and then ate nicely. Fela asked for more. So he had some rice pudding and jam.
Fela then brought his dishes to the sink at 1810 and then washed them all up very well and seemed happy to do so.
At 1815, fela chose to listen to Bob Marley by tapping the picture on the TV screen. Fela then asked if I would sit with him, so I did. I asked fela if he would like me to clean his keloids and he said yes.
At 1905, Zoe gave fela a facial trim. Fela was very grabby with his hands, directing staff hands a lot.
At 1935, fela and I did walk at home while Zoe packed the bags and the car. Fela really seemed to enjoy this, he was paying attention to the moves and mimicking me. Half way through, fela asked to sit down. I assured him he was half way through and he carried on. Fela then asked to use the toilet. I said that was fine but I was pausing it until he was done. Fela laughed and went to the toilet to pass urine. He washed his hands and then rejoined with no problems. I assured fela it would be snack time when he was done.
Fela had snack at 2000 and chose to listen to jazz. Fela got his shoes on at 2030 and then used the toilet again before leaving for mama and Michael’s at 2045.
We dropped fela off and unpacked the car. Fela took off his hat, coat and shoes, then asked to listen to music upstairs. I put some music on for fela while Zoe and Carla made his bed. We said goodbye to fela and left at 2105.
No problems. Lovely shift.
