Fela was in the bath by 21:10, and enjoyed splashing around. He did not insist on a scrub tonight. He was in bed by 22:40 after tea tree oil applied to athlete’s foot, aloe propolis to areas of feet needing healing, and keloid cream. I asked him if he wanted tiger balm or massage oil, and he pointed to massage oil, so I applied the lavender and chamomile massage oil to his back, chest, forehead and behind ears. Fire crackling was left playing on a low volume on youtube.
I did not hear him until 4:25 when he visited the loo and was back in bed by 4:45. The birds were chirping quite loudly. He did not return to sleep for the rest of the morning despite many efforts. Fela signed for apple at 5:20 so he seemed to think it was time to get up. Tiger balm was applied to his forehead and neck at 5:40. I prompted him to the loo at 6:30 as he was still making noise. When he returned to bed, I brought him his apple and apple and pear tea.
I left Fela to have some more rest at 7:15, but he did not settle so I went in to him at 8:00 and prompted him into the shower. He seemed happy to enter the shower. He was down for breakfast at 8:50. Michael took over and prompted Fela to help him with adding the trimmings to his porridge – raisins, nuts, honey, chocolate shavings.
Fela finished his breakfast and supplements and left Green Pastures at 9:35. He has been a bit vocal, but not happy or unhappy.
*He will no doubt need a nap at some point during the day as he was up since 4:25.
