12/09/2019 – Day & Evening shift – carla cornelius

Shift Report:

Michael and I decided to venture out in the car to pick up a prescription for Fela’s keloids (to be implemented from Monday as a trial). We then took him to Tunstall Park for a walk x 30 minutes. We rewarded Fela with a tea in the cafe after he went around twice.

After lunch I gave Fela a manicure making sure to file a lot of his peeling skin and ragged nails which he enjoys  an emery board is the most effective although he likes the sensation of the battery operated exfoliator. I finished off by moisturizing his nails, fingers and hand with emu oil.

Andrew arrived before I could do any HANDLE. Fela became periodically very vocal during the afternoon which was his way of calling for attention when he wanted someone to play cards with him. Once we played cards with him he was happy. I also plugged in his digital photo frame below the TV and he enjoyed watching it throughout the day.

Emma sat in with Fela and Andrew during education whilst I opted to sweep the garage and do some ironing. It was reported Fela had a very positive session.

I refilled supplement pots until Tuesday inclusive. Michael came to relieve me at 18:30 for the end of my shift. I drove Fela’s car home so it’s easier to take it into the garage for its service tomorrow morning. Michael drove Fela and Emma to the MAC club as Fela seemed eager to go. I waved them off then set off home. All in all, a positive though tiring day with Fela, Michael and Emma.
