Fela was quietly listening to jazz cafe music on my arrival. I was informed that he had just woken up from a nap. He was content to remain seated on the settee so Claire engaged him in some colouring of pumpkin images printed from coloringhome.com. Fela did it slowly but with some prompting and help, we managed to finish it before dinner. I attached it to his Education board so he can admire it for a while when he passes through the hall.
Fela enjoyed his cod kedgeree recipe which Claire cooked. He had seconds, but was looking quiet sleepy at the table so we didn’t offer him pudding. He took a long time to transition from the table and requested to sit back on the settee.
I decided to initiate some dancing to ‘Lighthouse family’ on youtube – nothing too boisterous. He smiled a lot at my antics but didn’t seem to have the energy to join me. He suddenly perked up at 20:00 – it was as if he knew it was snack time. I made him his snack – hot chocolate with almond butter on rice cakes. We decided against camomile tea as he was already looking sleepy, and we did not want him to fall asleep in the bath.
Fela has been rubbing and tapping his forehead during the evening so I have offered and applied Tiger balm twice to his forehead and behind his ears. He was happy for me to do this.
At the time of writing, he is sitting on the loo and about to remove his clothes to get in the bath.
