Fela arrived at Green Pastures just before 21:00 and seemed calm and quiet. He was in the bath by 9:15 and was very relaxed in there; when I checked on him he was falling asleep. Fela did his evening routine well, and was in bed by 22:30 after tea tree oil applied to athlete’s foot, aloe propolis to dry areas on toes and fingers, keloid cream and tiger balm to forehead, chest and back. Then he said his prayer but could hardly speak as he was so tired.
Fela was silent within minutes of lights out. He slept through until 4:45 when I heard him being vocal. I prompted him to the loo. He has been vocal on and off since then. At 5:55, I could still hear him so I went in to check on him, and he asked for apple, obviously thinking it was time to get up. Because I wanted to see whether he would sleep for another two hours before waking up, I offered him a banana in case he was hungry. however, he still did not settle for long after this.
I heard him again at 7:00, so I prompted him to the loo, then brought his refreshments – plum and pear and apple tea which he had after his waking supplement with water.
Fela entered the shower just after 8:00, did his morning routine well, and was down for breakfast at 8:55. He helped Michael add the toppings to his porridge. At the time of writing, Emma and Zoe have just arrived, and are chatting with Michael and Fela as he finishes his supplements.
