I arrived on shift at 10:15am, fela was still in bed fast asleep.
I took handover from Carla and Teresa.
We continually checked fela on the camera and he remained asleep until 12.20pm, we both went up to fela, I asked fela if he was ready for a shower or wanted go back to sleep. Fela sat up and requested porridge and all the trimmings, fela then got out of bed and made his way to the shower room. Fela then sat on the toilet and asked for 5.
We then went back up to fela and asked if he was ready for a shower, fela clearly said no and signed to go back to sleep.
Fela passed urine in the toilet (his urine is very dark in colour and has a string odour).
Fela washed his hands and got back into bed.
We then went back up to fela and gave him a white willow, banana and drink of water at 1pm.
Fela then snuggled back down and went back to sleep.
Michael then came on shift and we had handover.
We went up to fela at 2pm with a drink of water.
I then got fela another drink of water and pistachio nuts which he ate in bed.
I then took fela porridge and supplements upstairs so he could have them whilst in bed (agreed by Carla).
Fela then chose a shower when I asked him, he used the toilet passed urine and then got into the shower, he relaxed for around 15 minutes in the shower and then had a wash.
Once finished his the shower he completed his routine really well, all creams applied.
Teeth brushed and fela made his way downstairs where he had a cup of tea and chose to listen to music.
At 3:30pm I gave fela his snack, he requested crisps and even looked in the cupboard to see if he had any in.
I then cleaned felas keloids and put cream on them.
Fela then had a biscuit and another hot drink and water.
Fela then used the toilet and had a b/m (large).
Zoe then came on shift and we had handover.
Zoe then did the board with fela.
Fela then went to use the toilet.
Fela had his supplements at 5:30pm.
We then all sat down for dinner at 6pm, we said prayer and fela ate well.
After dinner fela had dessert.
After dessert fela became agitated, this lasted for a minute. Banging his hands on the table and jumping up and down on the chair.
Fela then used the toilet and passed urine.
Fela then moved over to his rocker, and watched a dvd (Alladin).
Fela then had a cup of tea and relaxed watching the dvd.
At 7:45pm fela sat at the table to have his snack and then took his supplement.
Fela spoke to mama on the phone at 8pm.
Fela then made his way to the bathroom, I assisted with his personal care and then left fela to relax in the bath.
Fela got out the bath, passed urine and had his tincture and made his way upstairs, I then continued to support him with personal care. All creams applied.
Fela then got into bed and we said good night.
