15/09/2020 – Afternoon shift – zoe holmes

Shift Report:

Fela was out on my arrival, once home I said hello to Fela and he greeted me with a beautiful smile, I then had handover.

After I did the board with Fela and then we did the Makaton sign for packed lunch on YouTube, Fela tried to do this but struggled a bit with the second square shape, I think it’s one we need to keep practicing.

After I cleaned Fela’s keloids and applied aloe gel, Fela did enjoy this.

Fela had his afternoon snack and continued to watch his film, Paddington Bear, I did ask Fela if I could sit with him but he was very clear with saying No and then Go.

At 4.20pm, due to Fela scratching his keloids alot, I gave Fela a facial trim, Fela did decline when I first asked but I decided to proceed due to trying to give Fela some relief from itching and he was in a very happy, relaxed and calm mood, Fela absolutely loved his facial trim and after I cleaned his beard area with witch Hazel and applied aloe gel.

Fela had his evening supplements at 5.30pm and then we had our evening meal at 5.50pm.

Fela said prayer brilliant and he ate well and was very neat and tidy, he was smiling throughout our meal.

After Fela came into the kitchen and dried the dishes while I chatted to him, he did a good job.

Fela then relaxed and at around 7.30pm we did walk at home, Fela was full of smiles and so enthusiastic it was brilliant, after Fela washed his hands and prepared his evening snack and I must say he did a better job than I could.

Fela ate his evening snack and then had a phone call off Mama.

After Emma supported Fela with his bath time routine.
