Shift Report:

Fela became very vocal just before getting in the bath at 21:15. Michael and I gave him confusing instructions – I asked him to go to the loo and Michael didn’t realise, and asked him to take his clothes off to get ready for the bath. Also, I think Fela was overly tired. Fela settled once in the bath as it was on the warm to hot side.

He requested a face scrub and for me to wipe his keloids with the flannel so they may also have been irritating him. He was in bed by 22:40. I prompted Fela to the loo at 2:45 but I wasn’t sure if he did anything as he was in there for a while. He returned to bed at 3:00 but did not settle for the rest of the morning.

I heard him on and off and at 4:15 I decided to check on him. I explained it was a windy night but not to worry as God was re-arranging furniture. I put some lavender & chamomile oil blend on his forehead, the back of his neck and wrists to help induce sleep.

I checked him again at 5:oo as he was still being vocal and he requested apple, then when I told him later, he requested porridge.  I told him he would have it later for breakfast so he requested 5 and lay back down. I heard Fela being very noisy at 5:50 so I prompted him to the loo. He did a big wee, but became very agitated [see arousal state].

I decided to being him his tea, apple and a banana even though it was slightly earlier than usual because I figured he must be very hungry if he was up most of the morning. He had this with his water at 6:15 and afterwards he was quiet so I persuaded him to lie back down and get some sleep at 6:45. I next heard him at 7:25 and he looked ready for his morning routine so I prompted him into the shower. He did a bowel movement, then was in the shower at 8:00. He completed his morning routine and was down for breakfast at 8:45 – his usual porridge. He left Green Pastures just after 9:30 with Claire and Zoe, and was quiet.

*Fela is very sleep-deprived and will need a nap during the day. He has also been engaging in a lot of repetitive behaviours especially in the bathroom. Please exercise extreme caution and patience.
