Fela went straight into the bath on arrival as he had just finished using the loo at his house. He entered at 9:20, and was quiet throughout as if he was about to fall asleep. He didn’t request his usual face scrub.
He took longer in the bathroom and in the shower room upstairs to brush his teeth; it was as if he was getting used to his new surroundings after spending four nights sleeping at his home. Also, the thunder storm began as he was brushing his teeth. I reassured him about the rain, thunder and lightening, explaining that God was re-arranging the furniture to throw a party for the angels. anyway, he did not seem perturbed by it.
Fela was in bed and lights off by 23:00. Because of the lightening, we lost the internet so I left him with nature sounds playing on his phone. I next hear him at 3:50. I prompted him to the loo and he quickly passed urine but did not return to bed until 5:00. He kept asking for ‘5’.
I offered Fela the duvet as it was slightly cooler than when he first went to sleep, and I figured it would make him feel cosy and help him to settle. He was happy to accept. I rubbed more tiger balm on his forehead and behind his ears as he had signed for it when using the loo. I rebooted the computer and left him with 120 hymns for sleep playing on youtube.
I’m not sure when Fela fell asleep as he was vocal for a while but I next heard him at 8:45. He may have had at least a couple of hours more which means he slept for a total of around seven hours in total. When Michael and I brought him his tea, apple and supplements crushed in water, he seemed bright and alert.
Chloe and Angelia arrived around 9:10 and immediately started his morning routine. He was down for breakfast at 9:45 at the time of writing this report. He has been vocal since waking.
