16/10/2020 – Evening shift – carla cornelius

Shift Report:

Fela was rocking enthusiastically in his chair on my arrival. He was listening to Louis Armstrong and seemed quite excited. by the time Zoe left at 17:00 he had calmed a bit but after handover, I went in to him and he had the DVD folder open so I asked him what film he wanted and he chose ‘Marmaduke’. He started the fil, and we paused it before dinner. Fela chose to go to the toilet just before dinner, which delayed it, but he didn’t have a bowel movement as expected. He enjoyed his tuna steaks as he had been requesting fish earlier in the day, I was told. He also requested pasta so perhaps he can have that tomorrow, as the potatoes were already being prepared.

After dinner, he finished ‘Marmaduke, then we started Walk at home with Nick. He was very enthusiastic and persevered for two viseos which took half an hour. High fives all round!

I then prepared Fela’s snack which he ate whilst listening to relaxing ocean sounds with fish images on youtube. At the time of writing, Fela is splashing away merrily merrily in the bath.

All in all, a positive shift!
