17/09/2020 – Morning shift – zoe holmes

Shift Report:

Fela was finishing his supplements on my arrival, I said hello and then had handover.

I then did the board with Fela and he appeared happy, Fela then cleaned his small table and rocking chair and did a fantastic job.

At 9.50am I cleaned Fela’s keloids and applied aloe gel, Fela sat relaxing listening to music.

At 10.30am Fela prepared his own snack of fruit salad and yoghurt, he then sat down in the lounge and ate it, staff sat with Fela and encouraged him to eat neat and tidy and he really did well and enjoyed all the praise that I gave him for doing so well.

At 10. 50am we did a fire drill and Fela was brilliant, he listened to all instructions staff gave him and followed them well, when we returned into the house Fela went to the toilet and then went back to sit on his rocking chair.

At 11. 05 we headed out, Fela was full of smiles, we went to Chatterley Whitfield and Fela was brilliant all the way around, he did decline to go up the steps but he did work up a good sweat, on our way back we ran some errands.

Once home Fela took off his shoe’s and relaxed while I prepared lunch, Fela said prayer well and ate really well, after Fela dried the dishes.

Myself and Fela then sat on the sofa and I read three stories to Fela, from the book he chose, he was so happy to hear me read and really did enjoy it.
