When I arrived Fela was smiling and rocking gently in his chair. After Zoe left I did the board with Fela, and he seemed happy enough.
Claire had helped Fela to make five cards so I helped Fela to write three cards for neighbours, and two for family friends which I took with me to post. Fela did very well with his writing.
He pointed to the footstool for me to sit and play cards with him so we played cards . After we played a few rounds, I gave him a manicure which he really enjoyed especially the filing smoothly the rough nails and skin around the nails . He kept asking me to do more.
On the way to Green Pastures we stopped at the butcher’s so I could leave the order form for next week’s meat. It will be available for pick up next Monday 23 December.
On arrival at Green Pastures, I made a fruit cake for Fela, and he had some with custard after dinner. I noticed he was stuffing his mouth with food during dinner which is usually a sign that he is tired. After dinner, he suddenly became agitated (see arousal record).
When he calmed down, I did the board with him, then offered him a choice between a facial trim and cards. He chose cards so we did some card sorting into piles and dealing to each other until snack time.
He was falling asleep after snack, but we managed to help him put his shoes and coat on so we could drive him back home. Emma was there on our return, and quickly drew him a bath. He was a bit noisy on and off as we helped him to take off his coat, shoes and get ready for his bath. On leaving, Fela was quietly relaxing in the bath.

He was rocking back and forth vigorously on his feet as if he was dancing but making guttural noises. He calmed down after 20 minutes. I think he was overly tired because he had an amber alert last night and did not have a nap during the day. Did he have a bowel movement? No Bristol score: Was Fela incontinent?: No Did he have vigorous exercise?: No – Why no exercise? Fela became agitated after dinner so I did not press him to dance.
