*Sorry this is late but my computer has been updating very slowly, and I had to quickly have tea on my return home. I am using Michael’s computer atm.
Fela was listening to Bob Marley whilst rocking in his chair when I arrived, and looked sleepy. Zoe handed over that he was requesting a lie down, but perked up slightly when he was given the print-out of Pinnochio.
He had a bowel movement before we set off for the cinema, and was excited on getting into the car and entering the cinema. We decided to sit in aisle C although our seats were in aisle A. In future I will try to book for aisles C or D at the end close to the door.
Fela was quiet at the beginning and seemed to be flling asleep . When I drew his attention to Pinnochio on the screen, he became very noisy for about 5 – 10 minutes.
We offered him some popcorn just before 17:30 which he ate grumpily. I decided not to interact with him at all but just let him calm on his own. At 17:45, he asked for pasta so we gave him his supplements and his pasta and sardines, followed by cake. Afterwards, he seemed happier and calmer. So, I would say that he enjoyed the second half of the film. About 30 minutes towards the end, he signed for head massage so I obliged.
Fela was particularly amused by the scene where the schoolboy put a frog in the teacher’s pants! We stayed whilst the credits rolled so that Fela could enjoy the music. He requested the loo before we left the cinema at 19:15. When I asked Fela if he liked the film, he gave it a thumbs up, and when I asked if Mama should buy the DVD, he gave that a thumbs up, so all in all it was worth it!
Fela became noisy five minutes before we reached home, and I wondered if it was because Teresa took a short cut which was unfamiliar. Michael picked me up immediately, and Fela waved goodbye from the lounge. Emma was at the house to welcome us back.
