Shift Report:
The highlights of the day were as follows:
- Fela enjoyed an ice lolly which helped to cool and calm him down. This was followed by his snack of popcorn and walnuts.
- We drove to Wetley Moor Common for a walk.
- Fela requested pasta, pesto and fish on the drive back home so Michael gave him a choice of pasta, pesto and fish for lunch.
- Michael baked a cake so Fela was offered lickings from the mixing bowl.
- I suggested ‘Marmaduke’ as the film for his matinee movie and he was happy with this.
- He chose to watch T.D. Jakes preaching after wards and was happy to watch a second video when it ran into it.
- Fela was lethargic and sleepy throughout the afternoon.
- I removed his bandage and re-applied dressings without the bandage to allow his head to ventilate.
- After dinner, I let his food settle, did the board then brought him his foot spa with some bath gel and frankincense oil, and shoulder massager as part of his sensory activities.
- He was offered relaxing music but chose to watch another video of T.D. Jakes. Perhaps he aspires to be a preacher?
- As I write this report, he is relaxing in the bath.
