When we arrived at Fela’s house, it was obvious that Claire was too sick to continue on shift. Once Teresa and Claire had left, Michael and I decided to go to Toby’s Carvery at Endon for dinner. I quickly did the board with Fela, he went to the loo then we set off. He was pleased as punch with a big smile on his face throughout the rest of the evening.
Fela behaved well at the restaurant and patiently waited for his food. He put the menus on the table and selected what he wanted from the desserts and he pointed to the picture of the carvery. He also insisted that I read through part of the menu. Fortunately, there was the option of lamb because Fela requested it on the way to the restaurant. He had a kingsize carvery gluten-free and dairy free followed by his three scoops of raspberry sorbet.
By the time we arrived time, it was 19:15. Fela chose music over T.D. Jakes – no doubt because he was tired. I gave him a manicure which focused on filing rough areas of nails and skin followed by cuticle gel, and chatted with him. He had his evening kalms, snack of a handful of almonds and sleepwell tea. We left Green Pastures for his home around 20:40. He went straight to the loo on arrival. Teresa was there to greet us. When we bade them goodnight, Fela was just about to get in the bath.
