Due to the incident with Emma at Tunstall Park, plans were changed and Fela came to ours around 20:30. He had not had his bedtime supplements or snack so his bath was delayed until 21:30.
When Fela arrived, he was sweating a lot as he was recovering from his meltdown. He soon calmed down when he had his snack and supplement. Fela was out of the bath by 22:30. The bath was on the warm/hot side with a handful of epsom salts as usual.
Fela had a bowel movement which delayed him even further so he did not get into bed and light out until 11:20. I massaged his back and chest with a blend of lavender and chamomile massage oil before blowing him kisses.
I decided not to wake Fela to go to the loo, as he has had several nights of disturbed sleep. I heard him at 3:50 and prompted him to the loo. He did a big pee then returned to bed at 4:00. He did not appear to fall asleep again, and I heard him making grunting noises from time to time. When I checked him at 5:30, he sat up and asked for apple then five. I decided to offer him my eye mask to wear to see whether it would help him fall asleep. But to no avail; perhaps because he is not used to it.
I brought Fela apple, half a banana and pear and apple tea at 6:15. He may have dosed off because when I checked him again at 7:30, he was lying down with the banana peel in his hands, and the water and tea were untouched. I prompted him to drink the small glass of water beside his bed, then made him a fresh brew.
I prompted him to enter the shower just after 8:00, and he had a bowel movement after his shower upstairs. He was down for breakfast at 9:10. Soon after the Zoes arrived. At the time of writing he is finishing his supplements and being slightly vocal.
*Please note Fela has only had 4.5 hours of sleep so will be processing slowly throughout the day. He has needed a lot of touch prompting and assistance. Exercise will probably have to be delayed until he has his nap or abandoned altogether for today if he refuses to nap. You will need to proceed with caution.
