Shift Report:

Fela was in bed by 22:25. I applied Tiger balm to the back of his neck, throat and back of ears, prompted him to put on eye mask, and gave him Blackie the toy dog to cuddle. I decided not to leave the fan on and to leave the duvet in the cover as Michael said that the temperature was due to drop overnight and it was already quite cool. No bed socks were put on, but a light blanket was put over the duvet for Fela to kick off if he got too hot.

I didn’t hear anything from Fela until 12:50 when he became quite vocal as if he was calling to me. I went up and prompted him to the loo. I decided to apply some more Tiger balm to his throat, back of neck and back of ears in case his throat was dry and itchy. By 13:30, he was quiet again.

I next heard him at 7;15 so I went up to greet him with the board and a big smile. He was sitting up in bed and his eyes looked awake so I brought him his refreshments and supplements. We chatted and I said some prayers as he was consuming them. He entered the shower at 8:10 and after three rounds of soaping up when I wasn’t looking, he was finally down for breakfast at 9:05. I decided to give him an echinacea at 8:45 as he was quite snotty.

He left for home with  Teresa and Nadia around 9:45 and looked quiet and content.
