20/10/2019 – Sleep shift – carla cornelius

Shift Report:

Fela was scratching a lot upon arrival and afterwards – not just his face but his back. When I examined his back, his skin seemed to be very dry and I noticed between his thighs was dry too. I applied almond oil to his back, and added some to his cocoa butter creme. We will need to do this during winter as he tends to develop dry skin from indoor heating.

Fela is also in need of a facial trim. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do it as I didn’t have his trimming kit.

Fela enjoyed his bath – was full of smiles throughout. He was almost lying down in the bath when I came to pull the plug. Fela was in bed by 22:45. When I checked on him at 23:30, he was snoring. when I checked on him at 4:15 and 6:15, he was quiet so I left him to sleep. Michael roused him at 7:25 and brought him his tea and banana. Fela had a hearty breakfast around 9:30 as he was super chilled doing his morning routine. Maxine and Chloe came to get him, and he was happy to leave around 10:15.

Sorry for the delay in departing for shopping but I noticed Fela’s green coat pocket was ripped on both sides, and his glove was in danger of falling out. So I did en emergency repair whilst he was eating breakfast. I will finish it when next he comes.

All in all, an exceptionally good sleep of apparently 8 hours plus, and Fela seems calm and content.
