Fela completed his morning routine early and was in bed by 22:00. I applied tiger balm to the soles of his feet, chest and back. I also applied sleep oil to his forehead, behind ears and inner arms. He seemed to find this very soothing. I left him a hankie in his hand as his nose was runny. I also left a box of tissues on the desk and a hand towel within easy access. The fan was left on but turned away from him so as not to blow cold air on him. The rooms upstairs are generally warmer.
I checked on Fela at 2:15; I didn’t hear Fela throughout the night. I checked on him at 7:oo and he was still sleeping. I went up to him at 7:30 with his supplement drink and refreshments. He sat up and it wasn’t until I turned the fan off that I smelled the urine. He had wet the bed.
Fela entered the shower at 8:10, was was down for breakfast at 9:00. I skipped the body lotion today and instead applied tiger balm to his chest, back and the soles of his feet. I have been encouraging Fela to blow his nose on tissue throughout the morning, and have prompted him to drop it in a bag at hand. He has been vocal to very noisy throughout the morning. He seems quieter now that he has finished his porridge.
