20/11/2021 – Sleep shift – carla cornelius

Shift Report:

Fela was in bed by 22:15. He was happy and full of smiles on getting into bed. I checked on him throughout the night – at 2:00, 3:10 and 6:50. He was still quiet and did not stir when I went to listen at the door.

I prompted Fela to the loo at 7:10 and noticed that the bed was slightly damp. I was going to change the bed but he insisted he wanted to go and lie down again. I may have been a mixture of sweat and a little bit of pee.

I came up to greet him properly and brought his morning snack of supplements in water, apple and lemon and ginger tea with a lemon wedge. I read from the bible – Ecclesiastes 9 then we some morning prayers and an Autumn prayer. Fela was quiet and full of smiles throughout the morning, and even laughed from time to time as he was yesterday evening.

He was in the shower by 9:00 and completed his morning routine well. He became suddenly noisy around 9:35 after brushing his teeth and just before he was about to go downstairs for breakfast. It is now 9:55 and Fela is laughing again after having eaten his porridge. So, I can only conclude that he may have been very hungry especially due to a late breakfast.
