*Sorry this report is so late. I have been recovering from an allergy attack due to over-exposure to pollen on my morning walk yesterday.
Fela was in bed by 22:45. I did not hear from him again until 2:30 at which point the temperature had dropped and it was very windy outside. Also, I became quite nasal, and the noises frightened Fela. He kicked off on the way to the loo after prompting, and stayed in there for 30 minutes being agitated by which time he had calmed down. He may have thought I was angry with him so I apologised for frightening him.
On returning to bed at 3:00, I put the fire crackling video on as well as hymns on his phone so as to drown out the sound of the wind. I thought he would find the fire soothing. I heard Fela on and off until 4:30 at which point I checked on him. I decided to close the computer screen in case it was distracting him, and I closed the window completely in case the sound of the wind, rain and birds was disturbing him. I noticed some candle holders had fallen off the window sill so this may have unnerved him.
I heard Fela on and off until 5:30, then nothing until 8:20 when he started to make noises. I bade him good morning, and he sat up in bed and asked for apple. I prompted him to the loo. Michael and I brought his supplement, apple and tea. I switched on the computer and played the Friday jazz cafe music video which he likes to watch as he’s having his refreshments.
As I was still not feeling my best, we decided to leave him until Chloe and Claire were due to arrive. I went back to bed, and Fela continued making grunting noises even when Michael checked on him. The ladies arrived at 9:10 and proceeded to prompt him to start his morning routine.
I don’t know what time they left but Michael said he was noisy all through breakfast. The social story of Angelia meeting him today was read by Claire after breakfast, but Michael said he did not show any reaction.
*Due to the inclement weather, I would advise against outdoor exercise today, also Fela’s night has been very disturbed so he will probably need a nap and low-stimulation activities. Staff are advised to proceed with caution and extreme patience.
