23/02/2020 – Afternoon shift – carla cornelius

Shift Report:

Emma left around 2pm, after which Fela was prompted upstairs on to the red settee to have his cup of tea and then a nap. It was clear that he could barely keep his eyelids open.

Charlotte came just before 2.30pm and we had a quick meeting at which it was decided that, unfortunately due to personal reasons, she would be unable to continue on Team Fela.

Fela slept from 2.40 – 4pm but got up at 3.40 to quickly go to the loo. He had a quick snack at 4.10 which it took him about an hour to complete as each time I left the room, he paused. It was clear that he was still tired and processing slowly. At 5:10, he wanted to lie down again on the settee upstairs. The youtube video with fire cracking was on in the background which seemed to help to induce sleep.

At 6pm he was given his evening supplements and he ate well for dinner and seemed to be awake fully. For the rest of the evening he listened to some piano hymns on youtube with the forest image which he chose. Zoe, Fela and myself all chatted, and I was able to give him a quick manicure before his snack. Soon after we left for his home. At the time of leaving his home, he was splashing happily in the bath just before 9.30pm. All in all, Fela has had a calm but very sleepy day.
