Zoe and I arrived at Carla and Michael’s at 0915. Fela was still an bed and requested 5, many times. Fela needed a lot of prompting, but finally got out of bed and into the shower at 0940. Fela was in the shower for 10 minutes while Zoe changed his bedding. The rest of fela’s morning routine went well and quickly.
Fela was downstairs for 1011 and helped Micheal to make his porridge. Fela ate his breakfast quite fast. He was quite vocal throughout. Fela took a really long time to take his supplements and needed a lot of verbal encouragement.
Fela’s grandma rang and samg happy birthday to fela just as he was getting ready to leave the house. Fela got his shoes on and went through the board before leaving the house at 1125.
Back at the house, fela chose to watch ‘The Lion King 2’ and was quite relaxed while in his chair. Fela had a home made ice lolly while watching telly.
Fela allowed staff to clean his keloids just before lunch was ready.
Fela sat down for lunch at 1310. Said his prayer with staff and ate very nicely. When fela was done. He asked for more, using very good makaton. Fela had 2 pieces of bread with peanut butter and finished his water. Fela then wiped the table very well.
Fela then went to sit back in his chair and listened to Louie Armstrong until 1440 when we got ready to go out.
Fela used the toilet before leaving at 1450, then we got in the car and went to Tunstall park for a long walk where fela even did a few fights of stairs. We sat on a bench for a few minutes, watching a family play rounders on the field. We asked fela if he wanted his snack on the bench or in the car. And he chose car.
Fela then walked back to the car and had his snack at 1555. We got back to the house at 1605. Fela then had his keloids cleaned again and a facial trim, before leaving for mama and Michael’s. We dropped fela off at 1700.
Fela has seemed happy and content through this shift and appeared excited for his birthday meal.
Fela has used the toilet to pass urine and a bowel movement. All supplements taken.
