Fela looked a lot more like his old self again when he arrived. I could see his big left eye re-emerging. He was smiling and laughing a lot during the shift which came as a big reassurance to me that he was indeed on the mend.
I gave him a manicure soon after his arrival, during which he requested to sleep. After the manicure, I allowed him half an hour for a quick nap before dinner. After dinner, Fela seemed to be okay with the activities of dancing and he said yes to bouncing on the gym ball, but by 19:30 he was nodding off. I was struggling to keep him awake so I decided to let him have his bath early followed by his kalms and sleepwell tea.
He entered the bath at 20:00 and I removed his bandage and gave him a shampoo. He was out by 21:00 and then Michael and I re-bandaged his face. Fela had a bowel movement around 21:15 after completing his evening routine. On returning to bed, I prompted him to have his kalms with a tiny bit of water followed by half a small cup of sleepwell tea. I had sprinkled the pillows with lavender oil, and the fan and soul soothing music from yourube were left on. Prayer was said and lights out by 21:35.
