We left Fela’s for Green Pastures at 10:30. Fela was clearly excited to be going. We played cards for a couple of hours on and off – he enjoyed it very much and did not want to stop. We broke for lunch. Fela enjoyed his 20 oz steak with banana and chilli ketchup, and imitating Mama as we munched on a gingerbread man each.
After lunch, Fela was in the mood for dancing which he initiated. We prompted him to choose the presents one at a time and then we read the tags to see who it was for; Fela then gave the present to the relevant person. Mama and Michael too photos of our opening presents which Fela enjoyed.

One of Fela’s presents was ‘Aladdin’ (2019) which he saw at the cinema this year. We asked him if he wanted to watch it and he said yes so we began watching it together. Fela fell asleep for close to one hour during the film.
After a delayed drink of juice diluted, and a loo visit, he wanted to sit on the red settee upstairs so I put on some Christmas songs and I gave him a pedicure and manicure which he really enjoyed.
Fela has been drowsy but happy the whole evening so I did not prompt him to dance. At the time of writing, he is in the bath which he entered at 21:00. I’m hoping to get him into bed by 22:00 so he can make up for his sleep deficit.
