*Sorry this is so late. I forgot to submit this report because I am used to Fela being here on Sunday for the family visit, and he spent most of the morning upstairs with Zoe.
On arrival just after 9:30, Fela and Zoe were ushered upstairs which Fela was okay with. I was able to hoover the lounge and prepare it for Fela to come down and watch his Sunday service/s. He had his snack upstairs and was disinclined to come downstairs when called so I asked him if he wanted to stay upstairs and he said yes. So he and Zoe ended up watching Breathe New Life church 19 April service upstairs whilst I continued to clean and tidy the house as i would normally on Sunday morning.
We sat down for lunch at 13:00. Fela enjoyed his T-bone steak – his second this week. We sang ‘happy birthday’ as Mama brought out the carrot and pineapple cake with candles. Zoe said that Fela blushed with excitement, or words to that effect. Fela spent a long time self-applying aloe gel from his mini pot to his face before we could open presents. Emma came with a present which was a lovely surprise. We took a lot of photos during this time. After Emma left, Fela went to the loo upstairs then opted to listen to fireside jazz on youtube whilst on the red settee. He looked as if he was beginning to nod off, so I prompted him to go downstairs and put his shoes on. Zoe Lou had just arrived, so Fela and the two Zoes left for his home just after 16:30. He took home some of his birthday cake as a memento of a lovely day and lunch.
