Fela arrived at Green Pastures just before 17:00, and looked very relaxed. After Zoe and Zoe Lou left, he took a long time to get upstairs. I ended up giving him his tea followed by evening supplements and water on the bench in the hall. He seemed to be in a daze from being overly tired, and he was also fixated on the snack basket.
I did the board and went through it whilst he was on the bench. I offered him to option of watching Michael cook, but he came upstairs just as Michael was beginning, probably to avoid having to help! I had the tine of playing cards on the table, but Fela did not seem interested even though I had put it on the board next to music.
Fela listened to some cafe jazz. Because he was picking his keloids, I gave him some cotton pads with witchhazel to wipe his keloids which he did repeatedly until the pad was about to disintegrate. This is all he seemed to want to do. When Michael yelled “2 minutes”, Fela did the sign for apron, and was downstairs without delay. He enjoyed his red thai curry, and some almond, orange and maple cake with soya cream and a small piece of ‘moo-free chocolate’.
After dinner, Fela requested music and pointed to upstairs, but once again, it took him ages to get off the armchair. It was when the clock struck 20:00, and I brought him his snack and supplement on tray that he pointed to upstairs so he had it upstairs.
Fela entered the bath at 21:20. He has been quiet and content the whole shift, but due to tiredness, did not express interest in any activities so I did not press him as I was aware of the amber alert. Hopefully, he will sleep better tonight.
*Fela’s right middle finger below the nail bed is sore, and he was wearing a plaster around it when he arrived at ours. I was informed that he had been rubbing it during the day which is usually a sign of fatigue. It came off in the evening, but it will need to be monitored over the next few days.

Seeing as he already had exercise, and had an amber alert due to a disturbed night, I decided not to press him.
