26/09/2020 – Evening shift – michael cornelius

Shift Report:

When I arrived Fela was in the loo. I met with Zoe and Emma – and offered them cookies – eaten in a flash. I brought Fela some gingerbread men I’d made earlier.

Fela emerged from the bathroom, and looked quizzically at me – ‘what are you doing here’ I think he thought! I gave him a ‘ginger bread baby’ and then he seemed pleased to see me!

Fela returned to watching his film – the Sound of Music which he enjoyed, so did Emma who thinks she could be the next Julie Andrews!

Emma and I prepared dinner Thai Chicken Curry which was ready just as the film ended. Fela also had a chocolate crispy cakes he had made easier and all of the rest of the ginger bread men. Emma managed a gingerbread baby and two enormous cookies.

Fela assisted with drying the dishes and this evening has enjoyed a foot-spa, head massage from Emma and coffee jazz.

His keloids have been really worrying him during the shift, with the right hand one looking particularly swollen this evening.

He had his call from Mama, but was starting to fall asleep, must have been the lullabies! Yet another Julie Andrews!

As I type he is in the bath enjoying a splash. Lovely quiet evening shift with Fela and Emma Andrews.
