Fela did not wake up fully until 9:15. As I stated in my previous report, he did his morning routine smoothly and was down for breakfast around 10:15.
Chloe came to Green Pastures at 10:00 as requested. Chloe and I took Fela to Chatterley Whitfield for a walk before lunch. He did very well, and chose to walk to the top up the steps. It nearly killed me, but Fela and Chloe went up really fast as if they had wings.
Michael made us all some delicious vegetable and lentil soup which we ate with bread. Fela chose to watch ‘Cool Runnings’ DVD after lunch and after his food had settled we offered him a foot spa with tangerine oil, followed by the electric foot massager. I then gave Fela a pedicure – I cut and filed his nails then used the pumice stone and exfoliator to get rid of dead skin. Fela really enjoyed this, and ‘Soul Woman’ CD was playing on Plex in the background.
After dinner, Fela used the toilet. By the time Chloe was leaving around 8pm, Fela was falling asleep and asking to sleep on the red settee. So after his small snack, I offered him a shower upstairs and then I would read him stories in bed. Fela was in bed just after 9pm, and I read Bible stories to him, we said prayers and I chatted with him tomorrow, then left him around 9.35pm but with lights on. By the time I went to turn the lights off at 10pm, he was fast asleep. Nature sounds were playing in the background on his mobile phone.
All in all, Fela had a great day, and was in a lovely mood throughout.
