After I tucked Fela in, I put a plaster on Fela’s left keloid, and put keloid cream on the right keloid and around the plaster. Fela was in bed and lights off by 22:45. He remained vocal intermittently until midnight. I went in to check on him just before midnight, and realised that the fan was blowing cold air, so I turned it off then re-covered him with the duvet and light blanket. I also changed the relaxing music video and blacked out the screen again.
I didn’t hear Fela again until 5:20 so I went up to prompt him to the loo. He was sufficiently awake that he was moving things around in the loo and flushed the toilet. By the time he returned to bed, it was near 6am. He lay down but did not sleep and he was making intermittent vocalisations until I went up to him at 7:30 with his supplement drink and refreshments.
As he ate his apple, I read to him from a Bible commentary about Hannukah, the Festival of Lights then said a few morning prayers. After we went through the board together, he entered the shower at 8:20. Fela completed his morning routine and was down for breakfast at 9:00 after I put another plaster over his left keloid.
Fela left Green Pastures at 9:45 and appeared to be in a good mood with a belly full of warm porridge.
